The video clip is great - but one must remember - somewhere, somehow, all these relationships must be stored in a piece of memory residing in a database residing in a hard drive residing in a computer somewhere. It ain't magic. We have open source systems and open source software that we can use to facilitate the creation of these relationships, but in the end, somebody is going to be maintaining the connections. It boggles the mind just to think of the thought and creativitiy that went into the design of the components that make up Web 2.0. Its creativitity that leads to a whole new level of creativity.

I wish wetpaint would integrate with joomla. kinda like the mambo wiki extension....but with different admin levels.

This is the closest thing I have found for private collaboration.

I looked around for a Wiki to experiment with that had to meet the following requirments:
Free, private, can have more than 5 authors, white background, hosted by the vendor, and a choice of layouts. Late Sunday night, April 15th, I started this Wiki in Wetpaint. The next day I realized I don't like the 4 columns or the ads and spent considerable time exploring other Wikis. I even set up redundant Web 2.0 at Work Wikis on Stikipad and Wikispaces. Finally, on Wednesday I returned here.
Yeah, the ads and the columns bug me, but this is the most integrated site I have seen. Navigation building is automatic and on the left. The options on the right have to do with interacting with the Wiki as opposed to the content. Discussions are integrated on the page.

Ladies and Gentelmen - we ahve a winner!

I attended a kick off meeting this morning for a project and was pretty amazed at how little people know about this technology even though they are immersed in it day to day. Its going to be a challenge to educate people about the advantages of a new technology when they do not even understand the difference between an intranet and the Internet.
